Tabor Gala

On Saturday, October 4, 2014, the Tabor Home held its first Fundraising and Celebration Gala in the banquet hall of the Morden Access Event Centre. It was a Gala evening filled with short speeches, musical entertainment, a bidding auction, a progressive turkey dinner and visiting.

The New Tabor Home Fundraising Committee appreciates your attendance, monetary support and pledges. There were 300 people in attendance. After all revenue and expenses were calculated, the net income from the evening was $47,000. A special thank you is extended the master of ceremonies, entertainers, the auctioneer, to the many donors of items for the live and silent auction and to all who made this a night to remember. It has been truly amazing how the community and area have come together to support the need for the construction of a new Tabor Home personal care facility in the Morden.

Our appreciation is given to Fred Mayor for his work as the chair responsible for the organization of ticket sales, poster displays and seating arrangements. Our gratitude is extended as well to Lynda MacLean for organizing the decorations, set up of auction displays and so much more.
