    • One (1) year experience in an institution food service setting or cooking experience is preferred.

    • Must have a certificate in a Food Sanitation Course or be willing to acquire a Food Sanitation Certificate in the first six (6) months of employment.

    • Knowledge and understanding of all therapeutic and texture modified diets.

    • Demonstrated competency in cash management.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook/Email.

    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and maintain an organized work environment.

  • Part Time Clinical Dietitian Position available.

    Tabor Home Inc. is seeking applications for a .30 FTE Clinical Dietitian. Starting immediately at Tabor Home.

    The position offered is part time 11.6 hours a week with scheduled days and hours/day on site being flexible. Salary commensurate with experience.

    The Clinical Dietitian will provide leadership in nutrition-related care with residents and their families to promote health; improve/control pre-existing problem; or to avoid complications of those problems. The clinical dietitian is responsible for the provision of resident nutrient assessments, recommendations for medical nutrition therapies, development of nutritional care plans, evaluation and follow up.

    Qualifications include:
    -Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in Nutrition and Food Sciences or equivalent.
    -Dietetic Internship certificate from an accredited program.
    -Must be a registered member of Manitoba Association of Registered Dietitians.
    -One-year clinical experience preferably in long term care.
    -An appreciation for the traditional ethnic foods and culture.
    -Acceptable Pre-Employment Security Checks required.
    -Demonstrated organizational and teaching skills.
    -Must maintain positive working relationships with all residents and staff.
    -Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    -Ability to work independently and as part of a team .
    -Good time management skills.
    -Demonstrated verbal comprehension and written command of the English language.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses/College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.

    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support.

    • Experience / knowledge/ demonstrated ability of current nursing theory and practice relevant to designated area.

    • Psychological and physical health to meet the demands of the position.

    • Demonstrate Tabor Home core competencies and leadership.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience in gerontology, dementia care, behavior management and palliative care
